About Us
The TETFUND CENTRE OF EXCELLENCE FOR NIGERIAN CONTENT DEVELOPMENT IN RENEWABLE ENERGY UTILIZATION (COEREU) is one of the Centres of Excellence created by Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) which is aimed at promoting and consolidating interdisciplinary approaches in renewable energy utilization to enhance socio-economic development of the Country. This will be achieved through training and research with local content utilization being a major criteria.

Mission of the Centre of Excellence
A Skill Acquisition and Development Centre that promotes Nigerian Content Development in Renewable Energy Utilization by focusing on well-tested Innovative and Entrepreneurial approaches in this Sector.
Objectives of the Skill Development Centre of Excellence
- Conduct various skill development training programmes in Nigerian Content Development in Renewable Energy Utilization to enable unemployed and vulnerable youths improve their employability.
- The institutional capacities for job oriented TVET in Renewable Energy Utilization shall improve.
- TVET in the occupational field in Renewable Energy Utilization shall be better aligned with labour-market needs.
- The CoE shall contribute its quota to national development through producing job providers in Renewable Energy Sector of the economy rather than job seekers.
- The range of active labour market measures offered by job placement, vocational training and counselling institutions for integration or reintegration into the labour market shall improve with this intervention.
- By the end of first Phase of the Project, over 400 beneficiaries shall be trained in the various competency levels of National Occupational Standards (NOS) in renewable Energy Utilization. Women shall make up 40 percent of this number.
- The Centre shall assist the beneficiaries trained to have gainful employment in Energy Sector of the economy as a result of our work.
- The range of active labour market measures offered by job placement, vocational training and counselling institutions for integration or reintegration into the labour market shall improve with this intervention.
- By the end of first Phase of the Project, over 400 beneficiaries shall be trained in the various COMPETENCY LEVELS of National Occupational Standards (NOS) in Renewable Energy related training areas. Women shall make up 40 percent of this number.
- The Centre shall assist the beneficiaries trained to be self-employed or have gainful emploment in Energy Sector as a result of our work.
